BRDF correction in AISA image

I was wondering about the BRDF correction in AISA image.

If we atmospherically correct georectified AISA image using a rugged terrain mode (scan angle, DEM, Slope and Aspect image), do we still need to do BRDF correction for atmospherically corrected image?

The terrain correction only takes into account the incidence angle for some empirical BRDF correction. The observer BRDF correction would still to be done after atmospheric compensation then. However, the current implementation of BREFCOR is not yet optimized for steep terrain and you'd need to test if results are gettting better after BRDF correction or not.

I also found my colleague doing Spectral Smile Interpolation after atmospheric correction? Do we need to do it in AISA spectral image.

Spectral smile interpolation after the atmospheric correction is required to get your image to a common wavelength reference. It is recommended if your smile is quite large (i.e. more than 0.3 pixels).
