SNR calculator method

Hi, 

I use your software PARGE, but I wonder how the SNR calculator method works. Can you detail it, please ? 

That's only a small piece of software which does as follows:
- searches for the most homogeneous area in an image
- apply a high pass filter
- characterize the noise from this image patch, take its STDEV
- average full image or sample spectra to get the signal
- divide signal by noise
The results are ok for relative validation (ie. band-to-band in hyperspectral systems), but one should be careful for system comparison unless the same target is observed.
