Minimal hardware requirements in order to run ATCOR - natalia - 06-Apr-2020 Quote:Do you have any recommendation about the minimal requirements in terms of hardware in order to run ATCOR properly? The memory requirements are big, especially for Sentinel-processing and more when you calculate the terrain model too. 8GB memory are rapidly required, especially since a big part of the memory will be used for the system. The best would be to go for 16GB. With Sentinel, a single channel has 240MB and we calculate with approx. a memory demand of 10-16 times the single channel by the terrain model calculation. Taking this into account, then you will be quickly in the Gigabyte range. Besides, it is to be mentioned that we are no longer supporting outdated 32bit Windows-Systems. Also, we recommend to have enough space available on the disks, as temporary files or copies of the inputs will be sometimes generated (about double the data quantity to be processed). Talking about the speed of processing, local SSDs have a significant advantage. Network drives make the Daten-IO significantly slower. |
